BE YOU! is a six-week teaching unit for girls' physical education classes in lower secondary school. The project is currently in a pilot phase.
The core idea of the concept is to link movement with specific theoretical content such as physical and mental fitness or self-confidence. Furthermore, the students are confronted with everyday challenges that they must overcome independently, with partners, or in groups. This sensitizes them to analyze, reflect on, and, if necessary, realign their behaviors. Running sessions provide the time frame to mentally engage with these situations. BE YOU! thus goes beyond traditional physical education: movement serves as a means to develop and expand profound personal competencies.
